FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions regarding the St John's College / Accurate Solutions on-line meal booking system

1) Password issues.
What's my initial password? I have forgotten my password or want to reset my password.

A) The initial password is 15 characters long. It's your University card's 7 digit barcode number followed by your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY.

For example if your card number is 1234567 and you were born on the 25th July 2002 the initial password would be 123456725072002.
Or if your card number is 2223334 and you were born on the 5th October 2003 the initial password would be 222333405102003.

If you forget your password then you will need to contact the Catering Office at catering.manager@sjc.ox.ac.uk (or go to see them on the st floor of the Buttery) to have it reset.
Note the IT Office can not reset passwords for the meal system.

2) I have a question about the menu, allergens or how many guests I can bring to a meal.
A) For menu, allergen and guest questions please contact Kelly Homer or Leigh Ponting in the Catering Office (1st floor, Buttery). You can email them at catering.manager@sjc.ox.ac.uk

3) My balance on the system is different to what I expected.
A) For balance, top up and financial queries you need to speak to one of the College Accounts team. The Accounts team are located on the top floor of the Bursary.

4) When I try to access the system I get a certificate error.
A) This is because the system only allows encrypted https: connections and not plain http: connections. The certificate used is a valid one but not all web browsers recognise it. It varies depending on the web browser used but you should be able to either continue onto the site or add the certificate to the 'trusted list' for your browser.

5) Connection issues.
A) If you have trouble connecting note that for security you can only connect to the meal booking system from the Oxford ‘Eduroam’ wireless network, as well as from wired Ethernet connections in St John's or other parts of the University.
If you need to connect in remotely from a cafe's WiFi, broadband link or via 3G/4G you can do so using the Oxford VPN service. For information on how to set up VPN please refer to the IT Services VPN page.
